David Okonkwo

I am a nephrologist with fourteen years of experience treating chronic kidney disease across West Africa and the UK. My clinical work has centered on managing CKD progression in resource-variable settings — which has given me an unusual perspective on what is essential versus what is nice-to-have in a treatment plan. I completed my nephrology fellowship at King's College Hospital in London and returned to Lagos to build a practice that serves both local and international clients. I am particularly interested in cases where CKD intersects with other systemic conditions — diabetes, hypertension, autoimmune disease — and where the complexity of multi-organ involvement makes straightforward protocols insufficient.
